fruit-basket

This fruit basket is a simple activity that can be done with children 2+ underlining the importance of eating fruits as part of our healthy diet every day.

  • you can draw the basket for your child, zig-zagging some lines to simulate the weaving pattern of baskets
  • cut out some fruits from magazines and catalogues you don’t use anymore (I am always taking magazines from Tescos and Sainsburys to use in my arts and craft activities)
  • let the child ‘put’ his favourite fruits in the basket. You can discuss about how each fruit tastes like, their colours, shapes, etc.
  • additional, for decorative purposes, you can cut pieces of wool/string of 2-3 cm long and glue them on the basket

Have fun!
