Come and Sit Down

When it comes to transitions, it may be difficult to gather all the children together to: sit on the carpet, go for lunch, change the classroom, etc. It is easier if you have a transition song that they like and they join in following the instructions. After you have all of them sitting down at the established point (carpet, chairs, etc…) you can move to another period of your lesson/routine.

Five Little Snowmen

This song teaches the children subtraction. Every time a snowman melts, but it is actually mentioned by that ‘shhh’ which is meant to bring attention to the fact that they were 5 and some of them melted. one by one.
