As you can see in the pictures, I Followed the same steps and technique as for the 3D prisms.

This 3D activity attracted completely my children for about a whole hour!

These structures leave children explore their vision and their creativity. I only demonstrated the technique insisting on the fact that a structure/building has to balance itself in order to stand up, otherwise it collapses. Then, I let them free to create their own balancing structures.

We all know how difficult is to ‘teach’ the 3D shapes to young children. In time, I discovered a way to do it, actually to ‘watch’ it as the children will create their own 3D shapes so that they understand the difference between them and the 2D ones.

Thistles! What a unique experience for young children, especially children who haven’t got the opportunity to do trips at the countryside too often! You will see them at the beginning being not sure if they should touch the thistles or not and when they realize the spikes are not that spiky to hurt them, you can see how long they will examine them for with their hands and cheeks, giggling at their touch!

Any glass bottle can become a decorative bottle in your house or classroom.
