Farm Collage
Art may seem like fun and games — and it is! — but you may not realize that your child is actually learning a lot through exploring the arts and doing art activities. Your children will gain useful life skills through art, so encourage them to get creative.
Summer Day
I do love to recycle and I am using everything possible to make sure we used everything we could before we throw things away. Again, a very simple Summer collage where I used some cut out pictures from magazines and I let the children create a summer landscape. When they glued their favourite pictures, they had the option to paint some bits of the collage, thus using 2 techniques: gluing and painting.
Dance for Young Children
In the world of early childhood education, the role of a teacher is not merely to impart knowledge but to nurture young minds and foster their development in a holistic manner. When it comes to teaching dance to young children, the primary goal transcends the creation of professional dancers. It delves deeper into the realms of offering these young learners an enjoyable foundation in the principles of dance movement and performance
Care for Teeth
I’ve done this activity with 2.5 years old and they had great fun! We discussed about brushing teeth and we made this art piece, underlining the fact that we have top teeth that need to be brushed, too!!! This collage can be also used when talking about diversity (different types of skin), or about parts of our body.
Fruit Basket
This fruit basket is a simple activity that can be done with children 2+ underlining the importance of eating fruits as part of our healthy diet every day.
Autumn Glittery Tree
This is a simple, fun, creative Autumn activity to do with your children. The Red tree is a picture you can help your children do for themselves and the one on the black background is a display board where each child painted/glittered different sizes/colours/shapes of leaves and then, we put all of them together to create an Autumn Tree Display Board.

Creativity – a New Approach for Parents and Carers
Creativity can take place in all kinds of human activity from cookery to chemistry. It requires inventiveness, curiosity, risk-taking and imagination. The arts can have a strong role in developing creativity in babies and young children. They can offer opportunities for sensory development, exploration and discovery, for experimentation, for asking ‘What if?’ and for practising different types of communication – all important aspects of creative behaviour.
Thistle Painting
Thistles! What a unique experience for young children, especially children who haven’t got the opportunity to do trips at the countryside too often! You will see them at the beginning being not sure if they should touch the thistles or not and when they realize the spikes are not that spiky to hurt them, you can see how long they will examine them for with their hands and cheeks, giggling at their touch!
